Now they do not falter in seeking enlightenment. They will be able to become Buddhas. Lotus Sutra, Chapter XV
The Buddha gave up his life of leisure, endured hardship, sat under the Bodhi-tree, attained enlightenment so we would be able to know the path to Enlightenment. The Buddha taught the Lotus Sutra for no other reason than to ensure his teachings of Enlightenment equal to that of all Buddhas would be available to us today. Let us together strive wholeheartedly and never give up.
