Dharma Rain Nichiren Pardoned from Izu Exile 1263 Good morning thank you for your presence today, either here in the temple or by joining the service on line, or by reading this blog posting. Today we remember Nichiren being pardoned from his first exile, the exile to Izu peninsula. In fact most every service we commemorate Nichiren’s Izu exile experience when we recite the ending portion of Chapter XI, known as Hotoge in Japanese.
