Sitting in the kitchen, the warmest part of the temple. In order to save money I only run the heater when there is going to be a service, which there will be later today. Still this is warmer because I have been boiling water for the thermos for tea for folks. I myself am having a large cup of really strong green tea.

One of the members, whose mother lives in Shizuoka Japan gave me a bag of some really good green tea. Very nice!

Later in the day:

We had a good service today with a good turn out. Bobby, a Vietnamese guy, who had come by the temple several months ago stopped by this morning and donated a Japanese maple for us to plant in the front. That was very kind.
