Instructions for Performing Daily Service in Nichiren Shu

Presented in this video is basic instruction for performing your daily service at home. For me and the way I teach it is important to consider and understand the reality of various lives. Many people, who due to various situations in their lives, are unable to make time to do a complete service. Some, perhaps those working two jobs and caring for children, live in a different sort of existence than other who only have one job and no children. So in some cases variations may need to be considered. In this video I offer some alternatives one may follow so that it is possible to do some service rather than feeling discouraged and not doing any service. The important thing is that whatever we are able to do we do it with great joy, with all of our heart, and do the best we can . Over time if one maintains even a minimum practice at first it is possible to expand on that so that eventually a complete service becomes possible. Some practice is better than no practice. Continue daily and build upon what you are able to do.

I hope you find this video of benefit to your faith and practice.

I hope you enjoy this recording.  I hope you will consider making a donation to the temple to help us continue to make the teachings of the Lotus Sutra available.
