Wishing – August 9, 2012 Meditation
Wishing “It is the virtue of the child to think in terms of wishes. But the virtue of the grown man is to will.” (Ortega y Gasset, Spanish Philosopher) I think it is natural as children to wish for things. When younger, especially very young, things seem to just happen. There is almost always someone doing something to make your life better. Of course this isn’t always the case.
Infinity – August 8, 2012 Meditation
Infinity Universal Infinity Day Today is Universal Infinity Day, in case you are wondering how come imagine laying the number 8 on it’s side, and you get the symbol for infinity. Today is 8/8 so it is double infinity. Thinking about infinity brings up a couple of Buddhist ideas in my head. One is the quality of boundlessness or unlimited. Another is lasting forever with no beginning or end.
