Lecture – Sho Hokke Daimoku Sho – Part I – 27 November 2018

First part of lecture series examining one of Nichiren’s early writings on the importance of chanting the Odaimoku, Namu Myosho Renge Kyo.

The name of the religion of the third friend which I could not remember during the lecture is Bahá’í.  He belonged to the Bahá’í Faith.

Also the long causeway connected to Kailua.  In the video I misspoke and said Kaneohe.  There is now a bridge that connects the base to Kaneohe but that bridge did not exist when I was stationed there.  The bridge now spans the bay, probably messing up the view of the mountains from the base.  When I was stationed there and would sit on the flight line there was a clear and unobstructed view of the Kailu Mountains which were so beautiful in the morning as the sun was rising.  From the flight line you could see the east facing side of the mountains which were so dramatic with the various colors the sunrise would illuminate in the morning.  Those are some fond memories.
