Paris Retreat and New Years Schedules Posted on Temple Calendar

If you are interested in joining us via Zoom for any of the activities in Paris during the upcoming retreat on December 8, the full schedule of streamed events is now posted on the temple calendar, including the Zoom meeting room link.

Also the schedule for New Years Eve is now posted on the calendar as well.  Mind, the schedule may change for the New Years events.  Depending upon when my eye surgery is and what I work out with the Buffalo Enkyo-ji temple there is a chance I may be in Buffalo for the New Year.  The calendar will always have the most up-to-date information so please always check there.

The end of the year is shaping up to be truly historic.  So far more than 20 people have signed up for the retreat in Paris.  This will be the first Nichiren Shu sponsored Paris retreat.  And appropriately the retreat will commemorate the enlightenment of the Buddha and will conclude with Jodo-e service.  The Jodo-e service will be officiated by Kanjin Cederman Shonin, with Ryuei McCormick, Shonin and myself Ryusho Jeffus, Shonin assisting. The service will be entirely in French.  The program that will be available to those who join in via Zoom as a PDF will have both French and English so hopefully more people will be able to join us and understand what is going on.

I look forward to seeing you all for December 8th if you are able and for the New Year and New Year’s Eve celebrations.
