Paris Photos – I

Here are some of the photos I’ve taken since I left Syracuse for Paris

Place de la Republique – this is where the French Revolution began. From here the mob marched to the Bastille about a mile away and tore it down. Later they beheaded the King and Queen thus beginning the Republic

Outside a 50s style diner I where I ate lunch.

I don’t know what this arch is commemorating. It isn’t far from my hotel and I liked the decorations.

Interior of the 50s diner. I can tell you, having lived in the 50s this is not what diners looked like at all. They had maybe one or two of these kinds of items used in decorations but not all of them at once. This was sort of like 50s Diner OD.

Exactly like Bob’s Big Boy

Place de la Republique

This graffiti was not present the last time I was here in April 2018. This is probably the result of the current Yellow Vest riots underway.

Isabelle and myself

Isabelle K. wearing the wagesa I gave her as a gift in appreciation for all she has done. It is only a small gift for her tremendous effort.

travel altar and I do not know why the blog won’t allow me to rotate the darn photo. I like traveling with this statue of the Buddha because it has very distinct African features. The mandala is printed on cloth and is very portable.
