Pain – Chronic and Acute – January 30, 2019

Yesterday I posted the final installment, first draft, of my next book Contemplating Disease. Today in an email from the Veterans Administration MyHealtheVet and in it thee was a link for a short video about Chronic and Acute Pain. I thought it might be of interest to some who read my blog.

Notice in the video when it speaks of Chronic Pain it talks about reprograming the brain that has been triggered by long term Acute pain. It does offer some general suggestions which you may find helpful in managing Chronic Pain, it also can help understanding the difference which will facilitate effective communication between you and your care provider.
