Hanamatsuri – Celebrating the Birth of the Buddha – April 7, 2019
Today we celebrated the birth of the Buddha by performing our Hanamatsuri service. During the service it is traditional for all those present to bathe the baby Buddha statue with sweet tea. Because our Sangha is a virtual sangha it wasn’t possible for people to perform this ritual.
